For the Year of the Family St. Lucy's 1st Grade CCD Class in West Scranton wrote a letter to Pope Francis. They received an answer and a photo of Pope Francis, which were presented to the children by Father Sam Ferretti and Deacon Carmine Mendicino. First grade teacher is Aileen Royce, students are Cameron Cole, Michael Crapella, Jr., Isabella DeRiggi, Michael DeVitto, Cadyn Karem, Malkyah Joseph Kizer, Lola Macciocco, Mason Mankovtch, Alexa Waltman. The Religious Education Director is Joe Triano.
