1926 Construction of New Church
1938

Notice the original black pews, the pulpit, and original high altar. The black in front of the altar is a carpet covering the white marble steps. Behind the marble crucifixion scene above the tabernacle was the original painting of the Ascension of Christ into Heaven.

Notice the pulpit is on the right side of the sanctuary (looking at the altar). The base of the pulpit had three angles holding a garland of roses. The pulpit was removed in the 1950’s. This base is at St. Ann’s Monastery in their garden. Go past the candles to the last statue to see it.
