A faith community in the Roman Catholic tradition

                         St. Lucie's School
On April 20. 1901, the old Public School, on what was then Chestnut St. (Now St. Frances Cabrini Ave.) was purchased by Bishop Hoban from the Scranton School District.  The building was used as both a Church and a School.  Classes were conducted by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart founded by Mother Cabrini, who had been in Scranton previously for the purpose of beginning an Italian Mission.

St. Frances Xavier Cabrini School (now the Cabrini Apartments), is located one block from St. Lucy's Church.  Here are a few pictures from St. Frances Cabrini School.
